The RMS Titanic is probably the most famous ship in the world. Everyone knows her tragic story of colliding with the iceberg during her maiden voyage and sinking into the icy waters of the North Atlantic Ocean on the night of April 15, 1912. Construction began on March 31, 1909, at the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast. She was launched on May 31, 1911, and outfitted in March of the following year.
